Miko Peled: Thinking Beyond Zionism
As Israelis, our identity is tied to the Zionist story. For me, it was even more so because my father was a General and my grandfather a signer of the Declaration of independence. I wasn’t told anything outside of the realm of Zionist propaganda. I believed all of it. I didn’t learn about Zionism in Israel in a college course or a textbook in high school. I grew up with it. If I can stand up today and call for justice for Palestinians, and call to boycott Israel, then everybody can do it.
